Malta Ready For EU Says MFSA Chairman
Professor Joe Bannister, chairman of the Malta Financial Services Authority has said that his organization is ready for integration with the European Union the Times of Malta Reports.
The MFSA chairman was speaking at a conference involving members of professional networking firm Affilica International including representatives from the United Kingdom, Russia, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Belgium and Malta, where he said that harmonization was almost complete on the legislative front.
Also present at the conference was Anthony Abela, the Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs who spoke of the challenging times ahead for the finance profession as a consequence of EU accession. .
