The Isle of Man Government last week announced the appointment of Dan Davies to the
new position of Business Change Manager in the Chief Secretary’s Office.
Reporting to the Chief Secretary, Mr Davies will lead the further development
of ‘joined-up’ services across Government, including online services
for the public and business, the authorities revealed.
Mr Davies joins the Government from Manx Radio, where he has been a producer
and presenter since 2005.
Prior to that he worked for eight years at the Royal Bank of Scotland International,
gaining extensive experience in business change, project management and the
delivery of electronic services.
Chief Secretary Mary Williams explained that:
"The Business Change Manager will promote service delivery by Government
that gives priority to the convenience and needs of the customer. A more cohesive,
corporate approach is also important in terms of efficiency and making the best
use of taxpayers’ money."
Mr Davies commented:
"I am looking forward to this challenging and exciting role, and to working
with colleagues across Government to build on what has already been achieved.
I hope my experience of business change and communication will be helpful to
the Government as it strives to enhance its services to the public and business
community of the Isle of Man."
The Business Change Manager post is a limited term appointment for two years.
