Ireland is the favoured location for the majority of the offshore money market funds examined in the iMoneyNet Offshore Money Fund Report, it emerged this week.

In new figures released this week, iMoneyNet revealed that of the 252 money market funds studied, Ireland hosts 159. The fund information firm also revealed that 39 such funds are domiciled in Luxembourg, and 33 in the Cayman Islands.

Ireland is also home to more than half of the assets under management of the funds examined in the iMoneyNet report.
