Investec Trust Appoints New Managing Director
Investec Trust in Jersey announced this week that it has appointed Mike Spittal
as its new managing director. He will also represent the Jersey business on
the Investec Trust group board, taking a key role in the future direction of
the broader trust business. According to Investec, Mr Spittal is a qualified lawyer, having practiced for
12 years in his native South Africa, prior to moving to Jersey, where he has
lived and worked in the finance industry for five years. Investec Trust’s chief executive officer, Robert Clifford observed that
the new appointment demonstrates a clear strategy of continuing to invest in
the Jersey trust business, following last year’s acquisition of Quorum,
which has now been fully integrated into Investec Trust (Jersey). Investec Trust is a division of Investec Private Bank (UK), part of the Investec
Group. .
