Growth In Cayman Incorporations Prompts Registry Recruitment Drive
The Cayman Islands General Registry has announced the recruitment of more staff
to meet a growing demand for company incorporations. The Registry has reported that active companies registered in the Cayman Islands
are up 10% in 2007 (87,230 companies), compared with the year before (79,227
companies). In addition, there was 16% growth in the registration of new companies in the
Cayman Islands. A total of 13,103 new companies were registered in the 2006/7
financial year, as compared with 11,306 new companies for the previous year. To meet the new demand, the Registry has recruited six new staff in key positions.
These include a customer liaison officer, a financial administrator, a personal
assistant to the Registrar General, an assistant registrar, and two customer
services officers. .
