Google Files First Lawsuit Over 'Click Fraud'
Online search portal Google has filed a lawsuit against Auctions Expert International,
alleging that the internet marketing firm signed up to display Google's text
advertising on its site for the sole purpose of defrauding advertisers. According to the suit filed in California last week, the Texas-based firm sought
to take unfair advantage of Google's 'pay-per-click' advertising scheme by fraudulently
clicking on the advert links displayed on its site. This legal action is reported to be one of the first of its kind pertaining
to 'click fraud'. However, the issue has been a live one for some time in the
