It has been announced this week that Skagen based superyacht yard, Danish Yacht
is the first Danish company to sign up to the Gulf's inaugural megayacht show,
the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show, which will take place 12th to 14th March, 2009.
According to its organizers, the show is an ideal opportunity to showcase potential for shipyards, brokers
and charterers keen to tap into this emerging market.
Several of the world's leading players of the superyacht industry including
Burger Boat Company, Northrop & Johnson, Palmer Johnson, Trinity Yachts
and Westport Shipyard have already signed up, and many more are in negotiation, it has been announced.
Franck Dailles, Group Director of the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show welcomed Danish
Yacht, according to a BYM News report, stating that:
"Along with many other companies, Danish Yacht have recognised the immense
spending power of the inhabitants of the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region,
and the resultant business opportunities for those companies who invest in this
emerging market early."
The show is being organised by Informa Yacht Group, owner and operator of Europe's
renowned megayacht show, the Monaco Yacht Show, and will take place at the
Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and adjoining pontoon facilities,
offering land-based booths as well as marina moorings.
