Cayman Stock Exchange Admitted by London Stock Exchange

Chairman of the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange, Anthony Travers OBE and Financial Secretary George McCarthy both expressed their happiness that the CSX had been admitted to the LSE's list of approved organisations. Apart from the immediate practical benefit that CSX securities can now be traded on the LSE and can have quotes on SEAQ, the admission amounts to a massive vote of confidence in the Cayman regulatory regime. The CSX is the first offshore stock exchange to be approved by the London Stock Exchange. The Exchange now has 180 listed issuers, 40% up this year, and market cap now tops $15 bn
