22 October 1999

In response to hardware capacity problems, Cable and Wireless, the monopoly provider of telecommunications services to Turks and Caicos Islands, has dropped its 50 cent e-mail access charge, and its $50 Internet access charge, until further notice. C & W has ordered new hardware which will be in place by early 2000.
